Q. What do your wedding packages include?
Our base wedding package includes everything you need to get amazing photos – not to mention full day coverage with two photographers.
Q. How would you describe your style?
Documentary wedding photography – we’re just trying to capture your story with our cameras.
Q. Who are the photographers?
The main photographer is Nate Weir (yours truly) accompanied by a hip, as equally talented second shooter.
Q. Do you travel for weddings? Does it cost more?
We love to travel and our rates are the same for San Diego. Email us for inquiries if your wedding is outside of San Diego.
Q. How many photos will I actually get?
In our base wedding package we offer a minimum of 400 photos, but we don’t believe in setting a maximum. We give you everything that’s good.
Q. When do we get our photos?
We do our best to deliver your photos as fast as possible and it can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks. The far majority of our time is actually spent in our studio doing post processing and color correction.
Q. Can I have the RAW files? Why do you need to process and color correct photos?
Sorry we only provide cooked files (JPEGs). We don’t give out our RAW files because even with pro equipment, without processing and color correcting the raw files are not beautiful or archival. When we process our files it’s like we’re turning potatoes into french fries – you definitely do not want to eat raw potatoes.
Q. What about elopements?
We love elopments, they are some of our favorite to shoot. Shoot us an email to discuss pricing and availabilty.
Q. What is a first look?
Roughly speaking, the first look is the when the couple sees each other before the ceremony. There are any number of variations on this, as formal or casual as you can imagine.
Q. Do you make wedding albums?
Every Album we make is printed on fine art, museum quality matte paper with vibrant and vivid archival inks — they are beautiful.
Q. Can I get prints?
Yes! We give you full resolution images and highly encourage you to print some of them out. We believe so firmly in the value of printing our photos that we offer really affordable through our 5 star printer, right through your online client gallery via SmugMug.
Q. What gear do you use?
Canon DSLR’s, lenses and flashes
Q. Do you shoot film?
While most of what we do is digital, we love film. There’s nothing quite like the look of analog photography so we offer film photography as a special treat to our packages.
Q. What do you do when you are not shooting weddings?
Working for the Moniker Group, creating adventurous brands at Weir Creative, and drinking coffee with friends
Q. How do you take your coffee?
Unless we’re feeling adventurous. Then With some whole milk, no sugar, thank you for asking.
